Divine Creation

“We are part of this universe, we are in this universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts is that the Universe is in us.” ~ Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson

The video above, whereby Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson is asked what he thought was “the most astounding fact about the Universe” is one of my favourites out of all the Cosmos related videos/documentaries I’ve watched so far. In only 3 ½ minutes, Tyson’s answer is as astounding and beautiful as the imagery accompanying his words.

The wonders and spectacular divinity of the Cosmos has always deeply fascinated me. Now that I’m in my twenties, I wish I would’ve put more effort into my Physics and other Science qualifications back in High School in order to eventually study Astronomy at degree level. (I guess it’s never to late to do so!) Something about me that only my sister knew up until now. I’m glad she’s just as intrigued by the wonders of the Universe as I am; a topic that inevitably comes up in our frequent conversations.

Trying to put into words how amazing the images (taken by The Hubble Space Telescope) above make me feel is impossible so I won’t bother trying to do so!

The people in this world that centre their lives around temporary things such as money, fame, material objects, etc are those who fail to see and understand the ‘bigger picture’. The bigger picture being our PURPOSE; what we’ve been placed on this Earth for.

For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.” ~ 1 Timothy 6:7

If only everyone chose to acknowledge this. How much more cautious we’d all be with our time spent and actions taken.

Knowing that I’m connected to everything displayed in these glorious images as well as all the rest of the Universe man has yet to discover, reminds me that my soul is so so much greater and so so much more magnificent than I could ever possibly imagine. And that yours is too.
